About the event

The event attracted over 100 attendees for an hour-and-a-half discussion unpacking crucial questions such as the history of UNRWA in Palestine, the role of both the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly this past year, health interventions amidst the crisis, the conflict’s impact on journalism, and potential political pathways for Palestine's future.

Similarly, questions from the audience were crucial in unpacking the role of key actors such as the United States in shaping the mandates of international organizations in the region, and the potential impact the upcoming US elections could have on the conflict.

WSS wishes to thank Dr. Anne Irfan, Dr. Patrick Gill-tiney, Dr. James Smith, Jayyab Abusafia, and Dr. Tahani Mustafa for their generous contributions to the panel.
